David Sobel is Professor Emeritus in Education Department at Antioch University New England and consults and speaks widely on child development and place-based education. He has authored eight books and more than 70 articles focused on children and nature for educators, parents, environmentalists and school administrators. His published books include Beyond Ecophobia, Place-based Education: Connecting Classrooms and Communities, Childhood and Nature: Design Principles for Educators, Wild Play, Parenting Adventures in the Great Outdoors, and Nature Preschools and Forest Kindergartens. |

Larimore is an educator, speaker, consultant, and author of three books including Establishing a Nature- Based Preschool and Preschool Beyond Walls: Blending Early Childhood Education and Nature- Based Learning. Her passion and expertise focus on the intentional integration of nature into early childhood education for young children’s whole development. Prior to establishing Samara Early Learning, Rachel founded Chippewa Nature Center (CNC) Nature Preschool in Midland, MI. |
