Natural Curiosity

Past/Present/Future through the Lense of Indigenous Sustainability

Hailing from Canada, Natural Curiosity is an environmental education organization focused on guiding educators to explore new ways of thinking and teaching about the environment in their curriculum. Natural Curiosity has introduced indigenous themes, lessons, and perspectives into their program to amplify their reach and impact. This organization has partnered with schools, colleges, and communities to share their perspectives and create a more wholesome learning environment. It is our pleasure to introduce Natural Curiosity as our keynote speaker for EEAI 2022.

Through our partnership with the Outdoor Learning Store, we're excited to be able to offer conference attendees the opportunity to purchase a copy of their resource book:

"Natural Curiosity 2nd Edition: A Resource for Educators"

This book complements the keynote and allows attendees to deepen their engagement with the topic. This excellent resource supports a stronger basic awareness of Indigenous perspectives and their importance to environmental education. The Indigenous lens in this edition represents a cross-cultural encounter supporting what can become an ongoing dialogue and evolution of practice in environmental inquiry. Some important questions are raised that challenge us to think in very different ways about things as fundamental as the meaning of knowledge.

You will be able to select this book with your registration.
